Resource Library

This resource library is organized according to the International Council of Nurses (ICN) Core Competencies in Disaster Nursing. Competencies are organized into 8 domains—preparation and planning, communication, incident management systems, safety and security, assessment, intervention, recovery, and law and ethics. We have added additional domains: mental health and well-being, to provide support and resources for nurses during large-scale public health emergencies, and crisis standards of care, to guide decision making as well as educate and inform disaster nursing practice.
Each domain provides resources and training materials for all levels of nurses, as defined by the ICN Core Competencies.
